[...] Link Back: Everyone knows that when you use someone else’s words, you quote it and give a source. In blogging, this translates to linking back to the original site you got your content from. A simple link on the bottom noting the source, or a link within the content is all that is required. Of all online etiquette, this is probably the most important. However, keep in mind this is not just for direct quotes, this applies to the source of any articles or inspiration for your own article. See my last article for an example: How Much of a Push Does Anyone Really Need? [...]

I really like the slow down paragraph. I was just reading another friend'd blog as he calculated how much it costs him to drive a mile. Something around $1.23. That's way above the AAA's national average that they found! Yikes.

Anyways, I wanted to pass this on, a book I read a couple years ago and highly recommend: Carol Honore's In Praise of Slowness. Great read and lots of insightful stories. http://www.inpraiseofslow.com/

Lastly, I want to make sticks to put on the back of people cars somehow communicating the fuel efficiency lost when driving above 60MPH. Keep up the great work!

I've always been one to share what I have, may it be knowledge or assets. I have started a few websites that ended failing for the lack of my knowledge in web design but the experience was good, made lots of friends. I also give out hosting accounts to anyone that I know personally and just recently bought a domain name ( .com ) for my mates gaming clan. Most of what I contribute to is online, I guess thats like the rest of us. The whole web is like one big non for profit organization.

#5: Unless the little contacts on the end of your charger plug are connected together in some kind of circuit, there's effectively no current. There's a *tiny* current draw due to the reactivity of the induction coil, but it is truly insignificant, less than half of one Watt. David MacKay of the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge has shown this by actual testing:

This truly is not even worth thinking about. One extra trip to the market would make up for a *lifetime* of cell-charger-unplugging.

Great top 5 list. I've done #1 for years, even when I'm at the gym. :-)

I never really thought about #5. Thanks for the information.

This is a GREAT post! As a writer for an allergy site, I often feature "green" products and approaches to managing allergies. Being earth and people friendly is a big part of what I'm doing. I'm happy to read a "kindred spirit" online!
